Réseau Express Métropolitain Montréal | $3.4B | EPC

Montréal, Québec

The Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) is a fully automated, electric LRT network that includes almost 42 miles of double tracks, 2 miles of tunnels, 26 new accessible stations and park-and-ride facilities with associated bus terminals – a transformative project for commuters.

By integrating into existing public transit networks in Montreal the REM will create a connected transit system linking downtown Montreal, the South Shore, West Island, North Shore and Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. The REM is the largest public transit project undertaken in Québec in the last 50 years.

The South Shore antenna of the alignment opened in July of 2023 connecting Montreal’s South Shore to downtown at Gare Centrale. The 10.3-mile section serves over 30,000 daily riders.
